Belladonna's sole focus is taking care of her ailing father as he loses his mind and memories. She's settled all the family debts and moved to a small town where she soon becomes the subject of gossip and Roger's unwanted advances. One night she arrives home from work to find her father missing. Rushing to find him, Belladonna searches their wild back garden. Instead of finding her father, she sees a light in the forest, luring her deep into the trees. Belladonna takes after it, following blindly until the light leads her off a cliff.
